Typographic Exploration Book: Introduction to Grids

For my Spring 2025 class I was tasked to explore typographic grids in an in-depth practice.

The project was divided into four sections of which proceeded as such: Part I - Grid explorations (10-15 layouts), Part II - Typographic Levels (10 layouts), Part III - Type Pairing/Type as Image (10 layouts) & Part IV - Process Book.

Promotional Graphic: Winter Garden

This project was meant to serve as a space for me to experiment with trend aware promotional graphics. This was a promotional social media graphic for imagined pop up event that would be based in the archive fashion world.

Typographic Poster: Avant Garde

For this project I was tasked to design a poster introducing viewers to the appearance, history, and lore of a particular typeface, my typeface of choice was Avant Garde by Herb Lubalin.

I was inspired by the rounded and relaxed nature of the text to create something that reflected this through overlays and calming colors
